The Killjerk Killer in the Woods

Does for going into the woods what Jaws did for swimming—after this, you’ll think twice before taking a hike!

"The Killjerk Killer in the Woods", set to begin filming in 2026, is a love letter to the gritty, low-budget slashers and proto-slashers of the '70s and '80s—a time when horror was raw, unapologetic, and terrifyingly fun.

The Story

Deep in the wilderness, fugitive rapist Derek stumbles upon a gnarled, ancient tree pulsing with a sinister energy. The malevolent force within corrupts his mind, twisting him into a monstrous killer. Now, as the Killjerk Killer, he stalks the forest, mercilessly slaughtering anyone who dares set foot in his domain.

With tourist season approaching, the local cops—Jack and Bruce—race against time to stop him. Meanwhile, the town’s mayor, Mrs. Mayor, fears a murder spree could ruin her re-election campaign.

Our Vision

One of our biggest inspirations is Don't Go in the Woods, a proto-slasher known for its frantic pacing and high body count—elements we embrace—while infusing it with our own twisted creativity.

We work with the absurd, but nothing in our film is ironic. Even with bizarre elements—like a troll—we play it straight. We’re a group of Swedes making a slasher in English, with no ambition to compete with Hollywood. But that also means we don’t have to follow the rulebook or worry about what’s “acceptable.” The film contains some controversial elements, including a masturbation scene that will leave you speechless.

Expect visceral scares, two severed heads, and plenty of practical effects.
